Each letter is shown with its Spanish name<br \/>\nand an indication of pronunciation; selecting a letter produces the<br \/>\npronunciation for the learner to repeat, and selecting the accompanying word<br \/>\ndemonstrates the letter within ordinary usage. Spanish has five vowel sounds,<br \/>\neach of which is pronounced consistently, and familiarity with them is what<br \/>\npermits a learner to read unfamiliar words aloud.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Scope of practice<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Writing: vocabulary, gendered articles, verb endings, sentence completion,<br \/>\nsentence construction, numbers and dates, and accents and spelling.<\/p>\n<p>Listening: vocabulary, everyday phrases, numbers and time, letters spelled<br \/>\naloud, and vowel sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking: vocabulary, everyday phrases, and passage reading.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Accents<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The entry of accented characters is not required at any point.
