Scope of practice
Multiplication tables from one to twelve, individually or in combination.
Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Fractions, algebra,
geometry and statistics, introduced as each child is ready for them. Word
problems that place arithmetic in context, including addition and subtraction
narratives, division and sharing, parts of a whole, money, two-step problems,
averages and probability.
Método
Each practice test is generated at the point of use rather than drawn from a
fixed bank. A child may therefore practise the same table on two occasions in
the same week without encountering an identical set of questions. Answers may
be entered on screen, or a worksheet may be printed and completed by hand.
Records and review
Every test taken by each child is recorded, together with the date and the
result. Material previously encountered is reintroduced automatically at the
point at which it would otherwise be forgotten.
Administrative control
The account holder determines which practice areas are available, the number of
problems per test, the permitted number of tests per day, the strictness with
which answers are marked, and whether the answer key may be viewed. Settings may
be applied to all children at once, or to an individual child whose
requirements differ.
